Rain Over Cross Roads

An instinctive piece, painted from memory. I played at making marks with different objects, using watercolours and watercolour crayons. Then built up layers of thicker oil and cold wax. The weather changes so quickly across the Worth Valley. I wanted to express that feeling when pockets of sunshine peep through and highlight areas across the landscape, yet an almighty downpour is headed your way. As a child I would dance in the rain with my shoes off, and this crazy mix of weather makes me feel so alive!
