East Parade

The remains of a post-industrial factory sit within a forest of wild flowers behind broken barrier fencing. I've painted this site many times already from different angles. I love how, even in the centre of town, nature can bring so much life. The two blocks of flats in the distance also feature in many of my paintings. I have somehow fallen in love. You seem to be able to see them wherever you are. Their white walls shining out, even on a dark day. I love the juxtaposition of rural and urban elements within the Keighley district.
